About CheckFair

CheckFair is a small, independent UK service built for people buying a used car from a private seller, usually from a Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree listing. The idea is simple: spend a few pounds and a minute before you travel, rather than finding out about finance, a write-off or a clocked mileage after you've handed over the money.

It's run by Ian McClelland, a designer and sole trader. CheckFair is a trading name of Ian McClelland.

CheckFair is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by HPI, Experian, the DVLA or the DVSA.
